| In two weeks it will have been a year since I wrote my last blog on XANGA. But a lot has kept me busy. For one thing I got married to my wonderful wife Laura. The latest news for me is that I now have several songs on my website you can download for free. www.sethirby.com I also put the words and chords with them as well. My worship song, Beyond the Veil, is there along with, Your Love, and We Don't Have to Leave. Anyway have fun plundering my site.
The other latest news is that we are pregnant! Wow, just joshing you. We aren't having a baby, we're leading worhsip at Campus Outreach's Christmas Conference in Chicago from the 27th through the 31st of December so please pray for Laura and I and all our Keynote freind who will be playing with us (Matt, Tasha, J.J., Colin, Chris). That is why Laura and I are spending our first Christmas staying home in Indiana. I am sad that I won't be able to see all my favorite friends in Georgia but I wish you all a merry Christmas.

| Why am I at home in Georgia instead of Indiana where I am supposed to be? I am sick. I have been sick since January 14th. I had a cold and then I got the flu for Christmas. I just got over the fever and cold chills but now I have broncitis. Fun stuff. Hopefully I will be back in Indiana soon.
On a deeper note. Being sick has shown me how much I need God and how little I seek him. I am not desperate for him like I was for medical attention when i thought I was going to die. But the reality is that I do need him worse than I need anything or anyone else.

| Please keep me in your prayers. I will be going down with some of my friends from keynote and some other volunteers to help with the hurricane Katrina clean up in Las Christians. One exciting part is that we are bringing a small sound system and a generator and we are hoping to encourage the people there with some music. If we get the chance I am going to be playing some of my own music. My heart goes out to the people there and I am so excited to be able to do something about it.

| Here I am back from Colorado. I got to sing in front of 6000 people. It was awesome. We even performed one of my songs (beyond the veil). You can buy the CD "Grace Like Rain" at http://www.goccc.com/cdsandtapes.html but if you are on my Newsletter list I am going to send you one. There are only 2000 CDs left. So tell your friends to get them and maybe they will print more.
There are many popular worship songs from Chris Tomlin, David Crowder and others on the CD but we re-recorded all of them at Keynote. I sing two songs, "no one like you" and my song "beyond the veil."
The conference was webcast so check it out if you like. You can even hear "Beyond the Veil" ahead of time. http://www.csuweb.org/archived.aspx I think we sang it on the 22nd and the 26th in the AM session.
Farewell Friends,

| Hey Ya'll...
I am back from Australia. It was an amazing time. God reached out with his mighty right hand and chose to crush any opposition to what we were doing and bless everything we tried to do.
We played 18 shows in 11 days. We had a few days with 3 shows and 1 day with four shows. We ended up playing for a total of 2783 students. There were 271 people who said they made a decision for Christ at the concert!!! and 279 people who said they wanted to talk with someone so they could find out more about Christ.
It was a reawakening for me. I remembered the dream I had that made me want to start singing for God and saw the beginnings of that dream coming true before my eyes. People coming in droves to commit themselves to Christ.
I rediscovered the hope that I have in Jesus Christ that everyday is a new day and that he can always transform my life. My passion revived for declaring the true Gospel in a way that draws the broken, repels the proud, and makes people want to thank God.
Next post I will tell you about the time I could have been stabbed | | |
